THE DEMÄNOVSKA ICE CAVE
NATIONAL NATURE MONUMENT

It is situated in the Demänovská valley northerly to the Demänovská cave of Liberty, in the National Nature Reserve Demänovská Valley, in the territory of the Low Tatras National Park. It is 1,750 m long. Ice filling occurs in the lower parts of the cave. A finding place of cave beer and other vertebrates bones. The cave has been known since the time immemorial. First written mention dates back to 1719. The cave was open to the public in the eighties of the last century, and reopened in 1952. Currently, publicity accessible are 650 m.
