Village is situated in Bocka valley on the area of Lowtatras National Park and its protecting zone. Entrance to Bocka valley is from highway D1 Žilina – Poprad to Liptovský Mikuláš thence to Kráľova Lehota and on the mountain switch Čertovica – in the direct of Banská Bystrica.
The high above the sea level is there - 850 metres in the centre of village and 1723 metres in Rovná Hoľa.

Nižná Boca

Former mining settlement was mentioned already in year 1270. The date of first remark is not accompanied. Of 16 – 17 century came into being the biggest expansion of gold mining in area of Boca. Today’s Nižná and Vyšná Boca in history have been connecting and they have been separating to Kraľovska Boca on the right side of stream Bocnianka and Svätojanska Boca on the left side of stream. The division to Nižná and Vyšná Boca give out in 1926. The low part of Kráľovská and Svätojanska Boca originate Nižná Boca.
Points of interest, remarkables and rarities
In the centre of village was declared to landmark’s zone in 1991. There are situated the objects of original wooden houses from 19, century. In year 1844 was built evangelic neo-classical church with origin organ. In the tower are situated three bells.
Village create the independent administrative unite with own municipal office.
Bocka valley offers a lot of possibilities summer and winter recreation in the still beautiful natural surrounding.
In summer – walking, bicycle tourism, collecting of forest growth, blood sport.
The winter season – ski-traverse, ski-running, easy tourism, ski climbing. The possibilities of accommodation are mainly in private.
Village Nižná Boca is the member of The Civil Association Ramža.
